The Coaching from a Faith-Based Leader's Perspective training program is offered by The Barnabas Team, LLLP, in collaboration with CCE’s BCC Faith-Based Initiative to foster, promote, and advance the Board Certified Coach (BCC) credential to clergy and spiritual leaders; and Dr. William H. Curtis. The program achieves BCC core competencies by emphasizing (1) Ethical and Professional Standards, (2) Agreements and Goal-Setting, (3) Coach Presence and Applied Skills, (4) Effective Coach–Client Communication and Rapport, (5) Facilitating Client Growth and Accountability, and (6) Coaching Business Practices and Professional Development.

The training program is presented through a hybrid, BCC group session Bootcamp and online format, designed to train and enable leaders to offer coaching services as part of their ministry, community, and beyond. The program consists of in-person or virtual group sessions (Bootcamp) and online training assignments, requiring qualified participants to complete at least thirty (30) hours of training. The training includes a minimum of 15 hours of group (in-person or virtual) Bootcamp training and 15 hours of independent training completed through the online learning platform. Participants must complete the 15 hours of independent online training within 60 days of finishing the 15 hours of group training. Learning occurs through group "bootcamp" practicums, assigned reading from texts and other materials, videos, practice activities, personal reflection and a multiple-choice exam with a required passing score of 70%. Students need regular internet access to complete the course.
